I would like to share my heartfelt feedback about the two-day Carnatic music workshop conducted by ma’am.
The workshop was extremely insightful and enriching. Over the two days, she taught us many important aspects such as strengthening swarasthanas, developing pitch stability, and improving multi-raga agility. What I personally found very valuable was the way she explained how to practice and helped us understand exactly.she pointed out common mistakes and clearly explained how to overcome them. The emphasis she gave on listening skills was also an eye-opener for me. The exercises she shared for the follow-up days are very practical and will definitely help in improving overall singing when practised sincerely.
On the second day, the multi-raga workout, moving through ragas like Mayamalavagowla, Kalyani, Shankarabharanam, Shanmukhapriya, and others in a continuous flow, was truly wonderful. As a beginner, it initially sounded challenging and different, but it helped me clearly understand the direction in which I need to progress. It motivated me to work harder and stay more committed to my Carnatic music journey.

Good morning madam. Really enjoyed both day sessions. I am now 55, started learning music around 2 years now after I quit my job. I had a passion to learn. No one in our family is learning music and I hear my teacher keep saying it has to be in the genes. For other very rigorous practice is essential. May be due to my age it's difficult. But I thoroughly enjoyed your teaching method. I would love to attend your workshops madam. For me identifying different swara sthanas like R1 and so forth is difficult. Do you have any curriculum for voice training and identifying swarasthanas Read more
